Good Morning Saints!
During my readings this morning, there was a scripture from Romans 8: 22-23 that struck a cord of hope and recognition concerning our tiredness and hope for relief. Believers know that their souls eagerly await to return to the Father-not in a morbid and mournful way, but in total fulfillment. It is only natural for our spirits to long for rest and fulfillment in the Lord! Romans 8: 22-23 reads:
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.
It is wonderful to know that there is nothing "wrong" with our longing for rest. It is natural! So, go ahead and long, but know that you have work to do while you have this body. There is no time to waste. Get up! Get your war clothes on and continue to fight the "Good Fight" of helping and serving others. There will be time for rest, soon enough! Rejoice and look around you for ways to serve His Kingdom. What are you going to do, today?!!!
