First, Mend Yourself (Repost)

Friends, this is a repost. I hope you enjoy the message.

Good Morning Saints!
I hope you are doing well. Today's topic, "Mending Yourself," is a lot more complicated than it sounds.  So many times, we sincerely reach out to others-family, friends, foes-and try to help them through whatever trial they are experiencing. But, it's important for us to look within and ask ourselves whether or not we have taken the time to mend and tend to our daily wounds.  They have to be redressed, bandaged, and cared-for, in order for us to give our personal best to others.  We definitely have to be prayed-up when we immerse ourselves in others' lives.  The Lord can work mighty miracles through those who are open to His Spirit, Love, and Care. In fact, through His love and guidance, we find the courage to use our experiences for lifting others.  We are able to talk about experiences that we have tucked away and find that the mentioning of these trials no longer hurts, realizing that steeping ourselves in His Word has healed our broken places. What a blessing! So, mend yourself, lifting your broken places to the Lord, so that you can help others!

Scripture for the Week

Matthew 7:1-5

New King James Version (NKJV)
Do Not Judge
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
