IN THE MIDDLE OF IT!

Good Morning Saints!
Well, it's almost Friday! However, we shouldn't celebrate too soon-LOL. As we go about our way today, we need to make sure we are ready for the obstacles and arrows, for they are sure to appear, in some form or fashion. But, if we stay focused on His Word and have a song in our hearts, we will sail on through the day, kickin' those worries and obstacles to the curb. It may be difficult but we will have the victory. We just have to remember HIS victory, a gift to us, while we are In the Middle of whatever battle or storm comes our way. Work hard and efficiently, today, and keep this scripture in your heart as you challenge and dodge the arrows of frustration, selfishness, anger or apathy--just to name a few! I will leave you with this scripture, as we work our way through the middle of cow patties and daisies;-) Please, write back. I love to hear your comments. And, if would like prayer, let me know. I always ask you to pray for me and I will gladly return the favor of prayer. Stay blessed!

Scripture for the Day

Searching For Love

Good Morning Saints!
We are all in need of love, no matter how tough, self-sufficient or independent we are. We may be strong-we still need love.  We may be wealthy-we still need love. We may be smart-we still need love. We may be a loner-we still need love. Get the picture? We Need Love! Sometimes, we search for love and acceptance from the wrong people. But, I can testify to this: If you ask the Lord to help you discern between real love and not-so-real love, He will MOVE! He will move people out of the way or you out of the way! You will be given unbelievable insight into the hearts of men. It might not be pretty but it will be real. Ask and you will receive. I believe it! Ask for that discernment and power. The Lord loves us and knows what we need. Remember, His love is the only love that can fill us and make us complete. The love you get from others is not and cannot be complete, as they are human. Now, I know my family loves me and cares for me, but they CANNOT love me, like the Lord. That's just the downright TRUTH.  As you go about your way today, be sure to let the Holy Spirit in. He's knockin'! And, try desperately, to stay out of the way of your blessings, saints! Pray that I can do the same, please. Love ya'!

Keeping Yourself Inspired!

Good Morning Saints!
When is spring coming to Colorado?! I need warm days. I want to see my flowers and trees bloom! They are gettin' there but it is taking forever. This is the only thing I don't especially like about Colorado-the short gardening season. Today, I thought we would discuss how to keep ourselves inspired to give our personal best at home, work and play. First, of all, yes, we must be fed our spiritual foods of reading, prayer and meditation. After that, we must listen, purposely and intently, to the Holy Spirit. This can be so hard, because we are so "in the way." But, we must try. On our jobs, we must listen to others and share a positive outlook when they are down and out. In fact, we may need to share a little bit of that "pocketbook" to help them out--do this w/o recognition or applause;-) Next, we have to make sure we have a few people in our lives who lift our spirits, too. Who are your friends? Are they believers and lifters? Another thing we can do, is look for a fresh perspective on our job assignments. Let's look at our jobs with new eyes--read journals connected to our jobs--spice it up. Hey, if you have to work, make it as exciting and interesting as possible. I challenge you do this, today, saints, as I challenge, myself, also. Be blessed and work hard!

Scripture for the Day
Ephesians 6:6
Work hard, but not just to please your masters when they are watching. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Renewal and Reflections

Good Morning Saints,
Easter brings a great deal of reflection on my life, every year. However, this year, it seemed more intense and critical. It could be that I have started a business and this blog, which is focused on creating words and crafts that lift His Name. It could be that I am getting older and more thoughtful of my ways. At any rate, it is happening. This Easter, I purposefully tried to put myself in the place of the people that loved Jesus, and had to live through His execution. I know this had to be heartbreaking and crushing to many of them. But, on the positive side, it was a wonderful Gift of Life. I bet it was difficult to see the positive side, while they were hurting from His death.  But, eventually Jesus appeared to many of His followers and reassured them that He Lives. So, we must strive to live our best lives and bring others into the fold.  It's the least we can do for Our Father. Be blessed and prayerful, today, saints.

Scripture for the Day

1 Peter 1:3-7 (New Living Translation)

The Hope of Eternal Life

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
6 So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Gotta' Use that Faith and Power!

Good Morning Saints,
I hope you had wonderful Easter weekend, in remembrance of His sacrifice for us. This weekend, I thought about how many times we ask for the power of the Holy Spirit and do not always use the power after it is given. Now, I believe that this happens, sometimes, because we are afraid and in need of more faith. Just take a few minutes to think about the times you have asked for His power. I bet the times are too numerous to count or remember, which is great. But, how much more would we accomplish and be able to testify about, if we took the time to ask, accept, give thanks for, and use with discretion? I believe we walk around without using the power available to us. We have to become more aware and faithful. There are so many times that I have asked for His power to overcome situations, that I cannot count them. And, there are times that I have asked and not given the prayer a second thought--not proud of this. Hence, the creation of my blessings journals. I believe in writing about our walk with the Lord. It is so wonderful to go back and read your prayers and thoughts. You are able to see tremendous growth in your faith and walk. Today, I challenge you to find a way to remember your requests and give thanks for the faithful answers and power He has given you, time and time, again. Be blessed!

Scripture for the Day

Mark 11:20-25 (New International Version, ©2011)

20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Holy Friday and This Week's Winner

Good Morning Saints!
Today, I'd like to wish you all a Holy Friday and blessed remembrance of some of Jesus' last words: Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing. (Luke 23:34). Even in His last breaths, He thought of us. How many of us can say that we would ask forgiveness during our darkest hour, for those who have tortured, taunted and smiled in our demise?  This should be contemplated... I would like to think that I am "there," but I know better. Emotions, emotions, emotions... get in the way. We must stay steeped in the Word, wrapped in prayer and focused on meditation, as much as possible, in order to control the "self-first" emotions. I will end with Jesus' last recorded sentences:

Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing. (Luke 23:34)

Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)

Woman, here is your son... Here is your mother (John 19:26)

Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?) (Mark 15:34)

I am thirsty (John 19:28)

It is finished (John 19:30)

Father, into your hands I commend my spirit (Luke 23:46)

We Worship Thee...

Mornin' Saints!
Today, as I think back on my blessings, my heart is filled with love and thankfulness. Like you, there is so much I take for granted. We just don't realize how blessed we are. When we write in our journals, we have a more focused understanding of our blessings because we are able to look back and count the ways and days. But, even then, we miss blessings... But, saints, just know that He knows our hearts and understands our limitations, and covers us with His love and mercy. Although we know the Lord created us and knows us better than we know ourselves, we still strive to be better than this earthly body allows. And, if we are open to the Spirit, it will fill us and accomplish more than our mere minds and bodies thought was possible. So, saints, let's worship Him and be on the look-out for those blessings. And, by all means, let the Holy Spirit in so that He may move mountains. Have a wonderful day!

Just a Few Tunes to Start You on Your Way!

Mornin' Saints!
Have you ever felt that Friday couldn't get here soon enough? I know I have. And, when I have a lot of orders offline and online, I feel a little overwhelmed. I love what I do, but I get tired, just like you. Of course, I worked for 22 years as a teacher and assistant principal, which brought a lot of fatigue, also. Well, when you are feeling down, tired and plain ole' wiped-out, try to listen to inspirational music. I listen to all sorts of music: R&B, Rap, Gospel, Christian, Jazz, Soft Rock and Classical. I absolutely enjoy music. It lifts the spirits and nourishes the mind. However, if you listen to music filled with negativity, pissed-offedness, and cursing, you will probably feel those emotions, so be careful. I'm speaking from experience, not out of the side of my mouth. So, today, try to make it through Wednesday, listening to some inspirational upbeat music. I'll start you off with a few tunes and you can do the rest! Blessings!

The Bond of Peace--Push "Self" Away

Good Morning Saints,
Today, during my readings, I came upon a lesson in ODB about unity among believers. This sounds simple enough, but, indeed, it can be difficult. You see, this means giving-up a lot of  "self" and working for the good of "His Kingdom." We would all like to think that we are able to get along with others in Christ and move forward, but I think the first step is to realize that we have limits. We might begin with the best intentions, but "self" will creep in like a thief if we are not aware of our emotional limits. We MUST be diligent in our seeking of HIM, in order to continuously push "self" to the side and keep "His Ways" in the forefront. As soon as you begin to believe that "you" have things under control, you will fail. It's inevitable. So, I challenge you to continuously ask for HIS intercession so that you will be able to work with other followers. Be blessed!

Gonna' Keep on Walkin'

Good Mornin' Saints!
It is a good morning, indeed. I have the opportunity to talk with you, today-I opened my eyes, today-I have breath to praise, today...just so many reasons to be grateful and walk this walk while holding my Master's hand. I might get scared, but I don't care. I know Who lights my path! But, I have to read it, meditate on it, pray about it, and be about my Master's work, in order to walk this Christian walk.  I do this everyday, during the day---morning, noon, night and in between, as I have realized that I am lost without my Heavenly Father. Some call me a Jesus Freak. Okay. But, I'm gonna' keep Him at the forefront of my thoughts. I know some of you are feelin' me!? Remember, to stay in His Arms today and everyday, as He is the key to your well-being in your daily thoughts, words and deeds. Be blessed saints and stand tall in the midst of chaos. Blessings!

P.S. Do you want me to have the day's writing out at a certain time, daily? I've tried different times, but I would love to hear form you. Do you want to read before work or lunch time. Let me know your time zone, too!Let me know!

Scripture for the Day

You Must Live, Even in the Worst of Times!

Good Morning Saints,
My heart is heavy this morning. As I listen to the news and friends, I find that many are disillusioned with life. Well, disillusionment is a part of living. All of our moments will not be filled with joy and love. In fact, I have experienced a great deal of heartbreak, pain, and disillusionment, but I will never give up. I might get tired, depressed and just plained pissed-off at life, but I will not give up because Christ died so that I could have everlasting life when this earthly life is over--now, I have a duty here on earth--I must inform and help others to believe in Him and accept that everlasting life. The joy and love that you seek will only come from a relationship with the SAVIOR. He's the only one who can truly love you and give you great joy. You will not find the satisfying joy, love and contentment you long for, in man's hands. It just isn't possible. We are limited. You can truly love someone and they can truly love you,  but neither of you can dispense the deep satisfying love that is received through our Lord. No one will ever be able to love you like the Lord. I want all us to keep this in mind as we battle the chaos that is inevitable. Pray through the chaos and feel His joy. The chaos will pass but His love will not! Many blessings and keep your heads lifted, saints.

Joy in My Heart and Victory, Too!

Good Morning Saints!
Runnin' late this morning! I've got such joy, today! Where do we get our joy? From His Word, Spirit and Immeasurable Love. You can be in the darkest place and His Light will lift you to heights that you cannot imagine. But, you must move into the tabernacle of His love--pray, meditate and allow Him to move. Just get out of the way! Instead, of trying to figure things out, let Him take over. It's just too big for you. Oh, it's difficult because you are often in your own way;-) But, I believe that you can ask for His grace and love, every minute of the day...He will intercede! May the blessings of His love be upon your lives.

Kindness and Faithful Love Pursues You

Good Morning Saints,
One of my followers loves this verse from the Bible(NJB): Psalm 23:6a--Kindness and faithful love pursue me everyday of my life. I make my home in the house of Yahweh for all time to come. Indeed, it is beautiful. She pointed out that she particularly likes the verb, pursue. Oh, what a beautiful verb when used in this verse. To think that kindness and love will pursue us every day of our lives.... Are we ready to receive the kindness and love, of which the Lord showers us, every day? I would like to think that we welcome this particular pursuance with open arms, but I know that it is not always true. We choose to close our hearts to love and kindness, especially when we have been hurt and mistreated. But, this is not The Way-His Way. Turning the other cheek is necessary for the growth of our love, faith and walk. Oh, but how the giving of the other cheek is difficult for many of us, myself included. And, for this reason and others that are too numerous to share, I seek the crook of my Father's arm, in the recognition of my weaknesses. I challenge you to turn the other cheek and allow kindness and love to pursue and capture your your heart, soul and your sacred walk with the Great I Am. Blessings, Saints!

Time with My Father/ Winner of Last Week's Giveaway

Good Morning Saints!
Have you noticed how we somehow find the time to do all of the things that we must do in order to live comfortably?  For instance, we go to work, pay our bills, pay our taxes, take our children to school, take our children to various practices/tutoring, go on our lunch breaks, go to dinner, meet with friends, watch our favorite TV shows(or record them to watch later), eat, sleep, and do it all over, again. These are things that we do, routinely. Where is our spiritual time in this mix? When do we find the time to spend that very special time with our Holy Father? We take our Father for granted.  We know that He loves us and knows our hearts, but how much smoother and calmer would our lives run if we took the time to pray and meditate with our Father? Oh, the same problems would probably arise, but the way we reacted and handled them would be with the wisdom and Spirit of our Father. So, in our harried lives, let's remember to carve out the time to talk to, walk with, and listen to our Father. He has His arms open wide-we need only to welcome His embrace. Blessings!

Black and Yellow! Let's Buzz!

Good Morning Saints!
My heart is lifted this morning and I am here to share it with you! You know, when we are open and willing to let Him in, the Lord will shower us with great love and inspiration. I'm sure He wants to shower us at all times, but our hearts are not always beckoning for His love and attention. I try to be an open vessel to Him everyday but it doesn't always happen, due to the "ME-ME-ME" in the way. But, aren't you amazed at what you are missing every time you open up to Him? That's why I try, even when I am in the way. Today, I challenge you to be His vessel and move out of the way! Let's buzz!

Your Free Time Belongs to the Lord

Good Morning Saints!
This morning, during my readings and meditation, I came upon a sweet little daily meditation that spoke of our free time---the lack of free time, the need for free time, and the usefulness of free time.  I know that all of you have been in situations where you have planned to take a break from work, family or friends, and found that someone needed your "carved-out" special time. And, I bet you gave them a few minutes or more, because your heart bled for them. Well, being a Christian calls for us to give of ourselves, even when we think we don't have anything left. We just have to ask for the grace of God to deal with our weary bodies and souls. When another is hurting or needs your "ear," you have no recourse other than to help or listen. It is written on your heart. There's no fighting it!  In fact, sometimes, it is when you are at your lowest, that God will reach out and work through you. So, stay steeped in the Word and keep your armor in check. You are "on-call" during your free time! Be blessed!

Feel the Sonshine Every Day

Good Morning Saints!
This morning, after my meditation, I began to think about things that happened to me throughout my life. For a few brief moments, I almost began to mourn about these events. Then, to my surprise and joy, strong and courageous thoughts began to invade my soul. It's hard to explain, so I'll just call it: Jesus! There are times in our lives when we may become overwrought with the worries or past events of this life, but if we will keep our hearts in His hands, He will lift us. He sends that good ole' Holy Spirit to comfort us. So, saints. be sure to take everything to the Lord in prayer and let the Son shine down on you. Blessings!

Scripture for the Day
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. Contentment: Staying in My "Safe-Place"

Good Morning Saints!
Have you thought about why it is easy for us to stay in the "safe-place" of our Christian walk? Now, when I say "safe-place," I mean the state of not going forward or backward in our faith, but just in the right place(for us), where we feel safe and content---we don't step on any toes and everybody is happy. Well, I've come to think that this is not a good place for us to be. We can be there for a while, but we must step up and out of our safe place and grow. Growth is imperative to a strong faithful walk. Growth also means less safety nets and more bumps, bruises and serious injuries. However, if we believe that "God is able," then this should not be a treacherous step, but a necessary step in growing in His Word.  I parallel this to crucifying ourselves to safety and opening ourselves to fiery arrows. The arrows will be tolerable because of Christ's love for us and our faith in His Word and ways. Now, this may look different for everyone:

  • Some will become more bold in the Word, sharing it with others.
  • Some will speak out against wrong-doings(not in judgement, but love).
  • Some will answer questions about faith with an open and unguarded heart.
  • Some will voluntarily give of their time by serving in shelters, etc.
  • Some will heal others.
  • Some will perform miracles.
  • And, the list goes on....
Now, we may step back into our "safe-place" when we feel battered and bruised. But, eventually, our "safe-place" will become too small for us, just like our favorite shoes--remember, when you could no longer wear your favorite shoes or shirt when you were young? Well, that's how that "safe-place" will feel. Yep, we have to grow in our walk and feed others, enabling them to grow. Our growth should be in constant movement, spiraling--being fed and feeding--until it's time for us to join Our Father. Be blessed, Saints!
