The Consuming Fire

Good Morning Friends!
We are in the midst of a snowstorm, here, in Colorado. But, I love it! This joy I have, is not my own. I know the Holy Spirit is moving within my soul. Why? I find joy in so many day-to-day tasks and my heart leaps with expectation and praise of the Lord. This is the Consuming Fire! I ask for the Fire, throughout the day, as I know that the troubles of this life are like a dousing rain, threatening my joy. But, that's okay! I will praise, even in the midst of my crying-out. I have hurts and pains, physically and emotionally, just like everyone else, but I refuse to let go of His joy. And, oh, this is a difficult task, at times, to hold-on to the joy He gives. But, I will persevere until I am called home.

We are pressed on every side, with physical pain, emotional baggage, family matters, our jobs, the negativity of the news/social media...and, the list goes on. But, we must remember, as children of The Most High, we are the seasoning of this world. Our presence in our workplaces, our positive attitude, our working through tough circumstances, is what others need to see. We may not know and may never know the importance of our "life walk." But, I'm here to tell you, that you are important, with all your pain, problems and circumstances. You matter and your life tells a story. Let that story be that through it all, you will continue to welcome The Most High into your life. That doesn't mean that you are problem-free. Nope! It means you are willing to walk this path of life holding onto the hand of the Lord, for He is the Bearer of your troubles. He's that Consuming Fire speaking to your soul and helping you to place one foot in front of the other, minute by minute and day by day.

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
